Sitting on the Dock of the Bay....

Okay, so there is no Dock, and the Bay is a (Honolulu) Harbor, and the tide was coming in, but I was wasting some time. Which was kinda nice.

Short photowalk to the harbor after work, since the sun sets behind the container loading crane-thingies. Also is the smoothest salt-water area available to me.

Did a little shooting on the left side, behind the Navetek loading area; good angles, low perspective. Then briefly scouted out the area around the waterfront of the Aloha Tower Marketplace, before diving into Gordon Biersch for a nibble and quaff. The Shrimp and Lobster Spring Roll was pretty good, and the Summer Ale matched pretty well. The bartender suggested the observation deck just outside for shooting, due to its unobstructed sightlines; good idea! Except I ended up at the "other" observation deck, closer to the Tower.

Got some interesting views. Probably needed another lens to get some tighter shots, but it was okay.

Nice evening. Sprinkled a bit, so hoofed it back uptown.

  2. Hey, Chris!

Yeah, something vaguely resembling a weblog. Not very good at maintaining it, though.

    Good to "see" you.
